OPTk 1.0 Installation Notes
|
Step-by-Step
| If, for any reason, the installation
fails, take the following steps manually. First find out if the
installation has copied files to your destination folder. At minimum,
the following files are required to exist: OLEDbConst.dcu,
OLEDbProv.dcu, OLEDbRowsetData.dcu, OSP.dcu, and OPTkWiz.bpl.
Once you have verified that these files indeed exist, run Delphi and add the OPTk installation path to your IDE's Library path (Tools | Environment Options | Library | Library path). Then manually install the OPTk wizard package (OPTkWiz.bpl) into your IDE (Component | Install Packages | Add). To verify that the OPTk wizard package is properly installed, there should be a new OLE DB tab in the New Items dialog accessible from File | New menu item. |
That's it. After installation, you can start browsing through the documentation by pointing your browser to the OPTk Documentation shortcut installed in your OPTk program group.
